Star Alliance member TAP Air Portugal is launching its new route to Algiers from Lisbon on 1 June
The new TAP route will have three connections per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, operated by Embraer RJ145 airplane with a capacity of 45 passengers.

Portugalia Airlines flight number NI 234 depart at 3:45 pm and arrive at the Algerian capital at 6:05 pm. Return flights NI 235 ALG to LIS depart at 6:50 pm and arrive in Lisbon at 9:00 pm. TAP also recently announced that it would open a new route to Marrakesh, also starting in June, with three weekly flights operating on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The route will become TAP's eleventh on the African continent, where it serves nine different countries.These are the airline’s first new routes in 2010, and follow the addition of four new destinations in 2009 to Helsinki, Moscow Domodedovo, Valencia and Warsaw.
TAP airlines has continually expanded its presence in Africa since 2001, when it carried 236,000 passengers on cheap flights to the continent.
In October last year, TAP carried 61,000 passengers on its cheap flights to Italy, a rise from the 59,000 recorded during the same month in 2008.
